Someone growing up with a helicopter mom, maybe?TexasTrucker83 Thanks this.

How fast the truck goes has nothing to do with your paycheck. At the end if the day, anything past 650 loaded miles in a reefer is a 2 day run. Unless you're running majority open road, it's no difference. I been running all.points east of 35 for the last 6 years mostly. Cruise set at 62 and I've been able to make a living. We all are pretty much in the same ball park in terms of pay and that's regardless of the speed of your truck. Raider Express has nice looking trucks

I wish reefer was that perfect that you could drive 11 hours a day & 3300 miles per week lol. Imagine that perfect world.
I've put in about 11 or 12 weeks with Raider & I have to say - I'm kicking ### taking names. I like my Drive manager, recruiter & the few friends I made.
I really enjoyed the job & make a good honest day's work. I don't worry about going 57mph because its what I have to work with. I find that truckers worry & ##### about too much bs. I just wake up in the morning & get my job done.JolliRoger, Vic Firth, bryan21384 and 2 others Thank this. -
They're nice looking if you like twin screw Subarus, maybe. Volvos are just wanna be big trucks, imo. Lmao
-
Um, yes it does. My 750 mile per day average on days without loading or unloading make me approximately $54.00 a day more. Taking into account weather, traffic, loading, etc. I'm figuring it to be around $160.00 a week more than a 60 or 65 mph road turtle. Now stick that in your 62 mph peace pipe and smoke it, me boy! Lmao!!FearTheCorn Thanks this.

Well that's all well and fine, dont know if you are an owner op or company driver. I, my friend, am a company driver and I can only run the loads given to me. Point is, if all I am planned for the week is 2500 miles, then that's the money I am going to make regardless of driving 62 or 75. Some days are live load, other days are drop and hook. Doesn't really matter.JolliRoger and Vic Firth Thank this.

I'm an old company driver who has been an owner op, lease purchase, independent and doing the company thing again after an injury 5 years ago. Feel great now, after 31 years. Irregular long haul, but I do a lot of the same outbound loads. Yes, it's all well and fine.
-
Ahhh that explains it there hahahaha. Im.glad you're back to feeling great though
-
Explains what? Now listen to me, lol. More miles per day equals more money per day. I understand if you're on a dedicated deal where you only run so many miles per week. But we real drivers are modern day freight movers with no real set limits on our ####, except federal ones. So hahaha, whatever! Save it for the rookies, pal. You're cool.
