Nevada is to big to be stuck at 65, to much production would be lost, loads would be dropped I’d have to raise my rates to cover fixed expenses and lost revenue and other companies would too. There are only a couple of companies in my sector that currently operate at 65 so most companies would feel the pinch of lost production

I did when the thread first popped up. It only took about 2 minutes to make a comment to my Senator. Still havent heard back from his office. Maybe write them an actual letter or give a call. Why do I have a feeling mega carriers are behind all of these major changes to trucking? It’s like they’re trying to force everyone to play the game their way and in the name of “safety.” I can see mega carriers pushing for no human driver behind the wheel of a semi truck in 50 years (assuming driverless tech is successful).

I agree with the idea of mega’s pushing this but there’s a lot more to consider like epa standards for emissions, energy consumption, and insurance companies pushing this too
In the end when the feds lifted the 55 mph speed limit they left truck speed limits up to the states and even though I don’t agree with some states that’s where it should remain is a states right to decide -
There's a bunch of them in the north and northwest.
Many are less than $30K, but have a truck load of miles on them.
Seems like many have had an overhaul of the motor, then a 100 or 200 thousand miles, now for sale.
Just common denominator things I've noticed about them. -

All I know is 2 million miles on something, that's a lot of turns on every bearing, race, and bushing, everywhere on the vehicle. -
My first truck. 618k I put 30+k in it. Including tires. Blew up around 740k miles.
