So what is your LTL company paying?

Central Transport is offering a $20k sign on bonus around here. Supposed to be a combination linehaul and dockwork position. Ad says when on the dock it pays $30 per hour. Doesn't say about the rate when driving. Makes one kinda skeptical that they have to offer $20k signing bonuses though

From what I’ve heard, they make you run out your 14 every day. As soon as you get done with your linehaul run, you have to hit the dock until your 14 is up, then take exactly 10 off and be ready to roll the second you get your clock back.

 

That's what I figured. I was tempted to call out of curiosity, but it's not worth the hassle. I'm looking for something in the LTL side of things, but it has to be the right fit. 14 hour days with only 10 off isn't gonna happen. Not saying I'd never do it, but I ain't doing it everyday.

Pitt-Ohio has my interest, but it seems hard to find any info about them.

 

Yup it works great. He’s leaves them much further up toward the truck than I would.
I liked to leave the front edge of the RD just off the end of the lift gate making it easier to get the cool lift under the loaded RD once the gate is on the ground. Only ever had one slide off the end right into the side of dollar general . It was a full 20 cases of 2liter that slid right into those split face concrete blocks and those 2 liters flew in every direction. Luckily no cars were damaged.
