$.25 a mile?!?! How in the world did you get that? When I started out with swift I was getting $.27 a mile when i was supposed to be getting $.26. No wonder why they took the pay scale off the internet for company drivers. There's no way to challenge on what you are supposed to be paid.

VanNelle, I think the gentleman has you pegged correctly. You are an internet troll. I notice that you are listed as a rookie driver, and have only recently joined this forum. A word of advice to you. Read more, and make sure you have an actually constructive point to make before spouting off. Many of us do many things we don't neccesarily like to support our families. But when that is coupled with the fact that you are actually losing ground doing it and not making headway, it's time for a change.jcroom76 and tony282003 Thank this. -
Nikon, I think if you can't get an appointment before your license is revoked and/or suspended, that you can file an extension as long as you have a set appointment date. My wife and I decided to not worry with getting retested as the costs associated with it would be prohibitive. I don't know any o/o's, and renting a truck, someone to drive the truck to the appointment for me, on top of having to pay for the entire licensing process will be expensive. My state has informed me that there is no waiving of fees for me.. I havent called around tho to ask different people about it, because according to the letter that the state sent me, I have one person I can talk to about this, and only one person. Good luck to you tho.

Ok sthw77 and dawan2004,
I am not sure what the problem ist, sethw77 started out with " I left swift even though they gave me plenty of miles because the wouldn't pay anough the mile" ok that was not word for word but that is what it meant.
So even though I am a rookie in trucking, I am a man with 41 years who takes care of his wife and his 5 kids!!! So and again in times like this I call that a dumb move, especially when you have a baby on the way!!!
So and let see at that contract.
Do you really wanne tell me that you did not understand that contract???
See, as you can see in my writing I am not a american, I am a german, and guess what even I understood that simple contract. And I am sure they told you and everybody else very clear what it would mean to you if you would leave before the end of one year.
But if you are only here to hear how sorry everbody is, well then I understand that you don't like what I have to say.
See you will never see me crying about something what I did to my self.
I never did and I never will. -
"VanNelle," I started this thread with attempt to spread helpful information regarding the licenses of students of Swift PDA - Millington being suspended.
I hold the belief that the readers of this forum are intelligent, hard-working men and women who make the best decisions they can for themselves and their families.
That being said, I can understand the points levied by sethw77 and nikondvr, in response to your condemnation of sethw77 for leaving Swift.
I've said this before - we're all in this together! Readers of this forum have learned more by the sharing of information and by working together than by criticism.
As a thread starter and not a moderator, I cannot control the posts made on this thread, however I would hope that all contributors keep in mind the spirit of professionalism and of helping others when making posts.
>Totherhalftw Thanks this. -
Also not everyone is in the situation, where they can afford what it costs to retest. With me in the state of Ohio, with lost wages, renting a truck, costs of tests was around 1500.00 bucks. Set me back some, but hey im lucky in a way I guess for this. Im single, I live by myself. I don't have a family and children to support. And it was still hard for me. I still drive truck, but I drive a gas tanker and you cannot test in a haz-mat vehicle so had to rent one twice. Since I failed my 1st time out. So im not a firm believer in suing over things. But I am in this situation. Swift owes some money back to people they screwed over.
Best of luck for everyone that is dealing with all this crap. And Happy 4th of July. Everyone please say a prayer for all the Americans that have served, and died for our Country! Where would we be without them!otherhalftw Thanks this. -

I don't even know where to start, your comment shows me that you do not know at all what you are talking about, but you are right, how could you.
For starters, I left germany not for a better life ( i'll tell you later about it)
I left germany for a women and only for a women!!!
In Germany I am a Registered Nures, I went 4 year to college for that.
I worked almost 9 years in a ER are and 5 year in a hopice.
I had 5 weeks paid vacations every year (every employee in germany has that some more some less depending on your AGE).
I was 100% Healthinsured dental and vision of course included ( and again everybody has that even people without a job) and the best thing was I got paid full wage when I had to stay home because I was sick (I know you guessed it, every employee in germany has that)
I had 2 very nice cars and a fat boy in my garage.
I lived in a very nice apartment and had no financial worrys at all with 29.50 an hour. And please truckerswife do not come with "at least we are free" trust me we can do alot more in germany than you are allowed here in the USA.
I know you'll say "why are you not going back", and again I came here for a women, now I have kids here, I pay taxes just as anybody else, and do my job just as anybody else!!!
And now i'm sucking it up here in the United States.
Now back to what that whole thing started with me. All I said was that it was a dumb move to leave a company when you you get plenty of miles, no matter how much they pay (even though he knew how much they would pay) In times like this you should be greatful for any job.
If you don't think so TruckersWife............fine........that is your opinion.
See sometimes it takes somes tougher words for somebody to learn.
And now we should leave it at that. -
I'm glad that you are contributing to our economy and pay your taxes. Kudos to you. Sounds like YOU had it made in the shade over in Germany, why on earth would you leave that? If I had it as good as you did in Germany I'd be insane to give it up. Do you see where I'm going with this?
Are you allowed to change jobs/plans but no one else can? I do agree that with the economy we should all keep the job we have, but when that job doesn't pay the bills, one has to go out and find something that will allow them to sustain their lives. Why begrudge them that choice?
Now I'll leave it at that. -
Well whoopdeedoodaw! You're just the whole german package aren't you? Welcome to America cowboy, now go home.
Nothing that's come out of your self-absorbed, self-impressed tapping little fingers has impressed me yet. I respect men, not little boys who stand on stools bragging about their alleged toys.
