Engine number is 73439920 by the way.
Do you know if you can connect any resistor to the end to make it work? Cummins dealer is a week out on the ends and I'm not confident they'll get the right one.
Help identify these wires

By the way engine number is 73439920. Do you know if you can put a regular resistor in to make it work? Cummins dealer is a week out and I'm not confident they'll get right part.

Technically any 120ohm resistor should work in its place.
You need Cummins parts numbers-
3164188 connector and
3163051 resistor cap
to repair your harnessYoungcolton and pushbroom Thank this. -
Tried resistor cap but still not communicating to Cummins on OEM 9 pin anyone had this issue? Everything works but can't run tests or program
-
What program and adapter are you using? Check for 12v between a and b. 60 ohms between c and d with the key off.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
All good I can connect with snapon to 9 pin OEM see codes and some data just can't see Cummins tests or programming options
-
OK it has the CM2250 ECM. I traced those 2 wires as the service tool connecor to ECM harness connector 2 pins 24&25 as it should with perfect continuity. It shows those two wires are straight to ecm, but when they ecm is plugged in I have continuity to all the engine data links. Also the other datalinks on the engine side have perfect continuity back to ecm connector 1 and the 14pin crossover connector. Still don't understand why I can't connect insite or my other scanner to cummins. Any other ideas?

Nvm mind. Skipped past a response when scrolling.
I've never used the snap on scan tool so can't give much help on why that can see codes and data, but not do tests or parameter changes.
I'd have to pull up Insite at work, but there is a data connectivity test to see what networks are working and which are not. JPRO does and assuming the snap on scanner would too.Last edited: Sep 18, 2019
