Sure, when you are parallel parking get the vehicle moving and get your foot off the clutch and put It on the floor where it belongs. Then when you get the vehicle in the proper position in the P/P lane half clutch and put the truck in neutral, get your foot off the clutch, set your park brake and blow your horn. In other words keep your foot off the clutch except to start and stop. But then you already knew to do that didn’t you?dennisroc Thanks this.

There's a big difference when your clutch is linkage. Instead of hydraulic.

Serious driver?? Oh man back when i was an equipment operator we used to run old massey ferguson tractors, they was like 1970 models, there was one the clutch was so stiff ,i had to stand up out of the seat and stand on clutch pedal just to get the frickin thing out of gear and then back in . i only weighed about 150lbs back then. I ended up just driving that pos standing up the whole time. By the time u was done for the day u had to learn how to walk again cuz ur legs was like jello lol
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
I have these Rockport XCS boots and they are the best medium duty work boots I've ever had! Super comfortable yet supportive while being durable and waterproof. I think they would make a good trucking shoe.dennisroc, TruckGal13, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this.

I hope it helps you. Husband has arthritis and it helps him a lot and it's easy to put on. If they don't have this one, our store is bad about not stocking it all the time, check the labels on other brands, they also have it in the tube of rub on cream if nothing else. This one has the most menthol in it though. Don't get the one with the lidocaine though for deep pain, it doesn't help as much I don't think. If you reapply, try to wipe the area off with water if nothing else where it comes into contact with the skin better.dennisroc, TruckGal13 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Why does everyone sugar coat it !!!!! Trucking isn’t for the OP. Goodluck........

Don't forget stuck in traffic. I came down I-25 out of Denver yesterday ( by mistake) with my pickup, and it was a freakin parking lot for 30 miles! I think those aches and pains are normal, and will subside some, heck, I worked on my pickup, and was sore for days. There's a lot more to trucking than just sore bones, and like other old timers will admit, today, you guys got it made. Tell me how you feel after 14 hours in a spring ride day cab Mack with manual steering and a 24 ft. dump trailer. It's partially why I wear a back brace at all times today.

Yep. Hydraulic clutches didn't always exist.
