As long as you meet the 24 hours off every 14 days and you're still within 7/70 you do not have to do a reset. You can run recaps indefinitely just like the US. However 36 hours off will reset your 70.

Personally I've never tried cycle 2 (14/120) From what I understand most people don't and I don't know what the advantages or disadvantages would be.

 

100 air mile radius no 30 needed; ie: no ELD either... probably the same for the 150 intrastate. I run full logs, local/regional/intrastate... Can't get from one end of Ohio to the other with only 100 air miles clearance, even in a fighter jet.

I posted an explanatory link in my last post, FWIW. Not sure how different it applies to Canada; thanks for the info, however @not4hire ...very educational to me, as well.
