Current ? you mean 2019 model year?
-
curent has in the current generation dd15

How many miles ?... from 500k to 1.1m . If you are lucky person you will drive it long. DD15 engine is something unique.
-
Different liners, pistons, turbo, aftertreatment 1 box, sensors, injectors, water pump, fuel pump, egr components,....
The engine has been updated totally. -
If it has a new crate motor probably be a good deal. Definately removing extra "weight " on the engine is a good idea.
-
most likely original engine was replaced at 680k m because of span crankshaft bearing. Long oil change intervals !

Wasn't the 12 model a DD13? I know it didn't have the power the 16 I drove had. 450 to 505.

Look I've got a 2012 with a DD15 in it, it's got 445000 miles on it with a deleted DEF system ...very important on the DEF delete ...they truck is awesome! Its gets me about 6.5 on the highway ...maybe 7, or close to it. It's a very strong reliable engine. I haul all kinds of freight regionally here in Illinois on a flatbed. 48,000 lbs is no problem, it'll pull it with ease. I've had it for over a year now and I'm glad I went with a Cascadia. Only real issue at the beginning was the DEF system acting up and dumbing the truck down but once it got taken care of, it's been nothing but smooth sailing
OldeSkool Thanks this.
