80k miles per year at .02/mi = $1600 going to Schneider to do a simple calculation for you on your taxes. Not even a CPA would charge that much to do all your taxes (mine charges $750 to do my business and personal). And I also said to adjust your exemptions up to offset the per diem loss.

I’ve only been up there twice and boring times I was theyre for 4 plus days. The locals were going home at 1200 cause if they ain’t have nothing by then they wasn’t getting nothing... and it was friday they were joking saying I’ll see you Monday which turned out to be the case...with all that said I’ve only been twiceThanos Thanks this.

Mines is set at .16 per mile. We are talking about the non taxable solo full or partial right?
-
Right, they split off a portion of your linehaul as tax exempt in exchange for lowering your overall rate by .02/mi. This is something you can do yourself when you file your taxes for free rather than paying schnieder .02/mi for all the miles you drive a year (1600+). You can raise your exemptions to offset the increase in payroll tax deductions taken out per pay period.

Yea I’ve only been once dropping a relay and I sat from Friday to Monday so I get it

That New Jersey terminal sucks. At times the Schneider area is completely cool and you can't drop that trailer in the food grade area so you have to get creative. The local guys told me they only being in around $500 a week due to how Schneider pays local work. Most end up doing it for awhile before switching to one of the other local gank companies that go to the same places that pay an hourly rate rather than just mile pay.

I talked to some local guys and they. Said theyre moving alot more. But its true, if you get to keasbey or cory on a friday, plan to stay there till monday. At least in keasbey you can take a train into nyc and there's a ton of different ethnic food in a 20 mile radiusmeechyaboy Thanks this.

Yea whenever I got sent there I just treated it like a mini vacay. 20 dollar round trip ticket and just explored nyc

I was never that adventurous. Would just order me some pizza or Italian/chinese food and eat at the terminal.
When I first went there, it took like a day for me to find the code to get inside lol. No one there after hours or on the weekends so had to esit for another driver to show up. -
I mean I wasn’t that adventurous at first I mean after being over layed for so many weekends you start to wander lol ... was gonna catch a white Sox game next time I was laid over in Gary or Chicago.. but that was when I snapped and put in hometime for the rest of the year lol
