    Anyone know where/how i can rent a tractor on a daily basis?

    Yes, i know Ryder, but they require a hefty deposit. Pesky are A-holes.

    Or is there a convenient way to hire an O/O w/tractor to move a few trailers. Shouldn't take more than a few hours.

    Paclease and a volvo dealership have rented trucks to us. Not sure about pricing or anything like that, but worth a call.

    When you say "us," are you a large company or O/O that has their own 1-2 truck company?

    My uncle rented one few times for a day or a few days at a time. Small company with like 10 trucks.

    I'm wondering why there should not be a hefty deposit when renting a $150,000 vehicle.

    Does daily basis mean every day, or are you talking about renting one by the day every now and then??
    Either way there should be a local trucking company that will move your trailers for you probably cheaper than you can rent a rig and go through all it takes to be legal to do it your self, depending on how much you have to do.

    You can rent a premium luxury car for almost nothing as a deposit.......... 40K car....

    P.S. Ryder are A-Holes too.....they hate sole proprietors.

    Maybe on the front end if you are using a credit card.
    Try using a debit card or simply paying cash. Then they want a hefty deposit up front, and in cash.
