It will. Each cell fully charged (surface charge discharged) is 2.1V. 6 cells together make 12.6V. Lose one cell and it will register 10.5V, Lose two 8.4V, etc

good morning
I drove about an hour today. Stopped and checked voltages. outside batteries have 12.6-12.7v .One of inside batteries have 10v and the other one 6v. So inside batteries are bad. they are 1year 1 month old. I am sure engine plus summer heat killed them..Rideandrepair, Snailexpress, Working2party and 1 other person Thank this. -
My Ford Windstar has a near 200 degree positive post. I think it's my grounds , or battery is old and junk.
Rideandrepair and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
If there’s heat there’s resistance. Usually the heat is at the resistance my bet is it’s your positive clamp has corroded under the clamp or it’s two thin (corroded away) to carry the amp load.Rideandrepair, speedyk and Intothesunset Thank this.

If you have a temp gun, and things are still working. Shoot your connections and along your cables, bad spots/corrosion/ will be hot.
Resistance and heat are a viscous cycle. They cause each other.Rideandrepair, Intothesunset and mhyn Thank this. -
Make sure you keep all connections clean and tight. Resistance in connections will cause poor amperage transfer between batts. This can overwork batts that have main cables on them. Dont just look, wire brush clean lead to clean eyelet. New battery jumpers and nuts are cheap insurance for battery longevity.
In the long run it seems the batt connected with main cables will fail first, not always but more often that not, if they are all replaced as a group.Rideandrepair, speedyk, Intothesunset and 1 other person Thank this. -
1 year warranty?
It's what i like. How much scientific resources it required to calculate warranty period such precisely.Rideandrepair, mhyn and Intothesunset Thank this. -
they have 18 months warranty. All manufacturers now offer 18-24 m warranty. Called freightliner and they said that new Alliance branded batteries are made by east -penn and have 18 m warranty.Intothesunset and Rideandrepair Thank this.
