I applied at places like fedex freight, averitt, abf, southeastern, saia in the last 30 days and never heard anything back from them! I have over a year experience all the endorsements clean record. Some of the companies still have their ads for the job still on their websites. I live in Dallas trying to getting on a P&D route again like I was at Schneider before the account closed... Anything I should do? Should I drive up there and ask?

I am a firm believer in putting a face to the name in print.
    If you only applied online...
I would dress nicely.. (pressed pants, buttoned shirt, nice shoes) , and walk in, INTRODUCE YOURSELF BY NAME to the receptionist and ask to speak with someone about your online application.
Even if they don't let you see someone... IF your clean , pleasant , professional appearance makes a mental mark with that receptionist, they'll likely relay to HR that you made the effort to come in.
    This does work.

I've advised my own children to ALWAYS put a face with the application... even when it's always done online.
They always seem to get hired.

Slackers in PJs take the easy route.
    Go the extra mile.
Show them you WANT the job.

Go in person and say you want to check on your job application.

if YOU WANT the job, YOU HAVE to chase it.

they get zillions of applications a day, YOU HAVE to do what is necessary to stand out and BE NOTICED.

Go down to the teamster hall and talk to the BA's.

Tell them you're hanging around there until they get you on with someone or they have you arrested for trespassing.
