No it isn't. They have some accounts that are no touch freight but then have others including the GE and Sears loads that are touch freight. You have to help get the appliances to the edge of the trailer.

Yes you get fined if failed dot inspections. You get paid if pass but if you fail you get charged up to $200.

    OTJBBEERGOGGLES Thanks this.

I can second this. When I worked there I was averaging about 1800-2000 miles a week. I had to constantly wait for loads, then get loads I couldn't make on time because of the the way the times were and when I was given the loads. Then was told to pick up my performance even though I did everything I could to get their stuff there on time. I too had trouble getting home and had to fight with them a few times to get home for my scheduled home-time.

    OTJBBEERGOGGLES Thanks this.

Hi Dennixx - the driver salary of our drivers was evaluated by Truckdriverssalary.com, which is what the cdllife article you are referring to is based on. We did not pay Truckdriverssalary for any evaluation or anything else; we are not sure what you mean by "sponsored survey".

If you have any questions regarding working at GP Transco, please feel free to give us a call at any time and we would be glad to go over any details with you in full honesty and without sugarcoating anything. Thank you for your time and be safe on the road.

Truckdriversalary is simply a website set up in an apartment in Scottsdale.
I don't really care what you post up, I have talked to and seen your drivers.
You may very well be the top paying Chicago outfit but after 45 years on the road I know what I hear and see.

PR Newswire requires annual membership to use its services. Membership costs $195 per year (via credit card) or $249 per year (if invoiced). On top of the membership fee, users also pay the following for every press release: State and Local ($350), Regional and Top Markets ($575), and National ($805).Mar 18, 2019

That is correct - the use of Newswire for press releases is not free. If a company wants to put out a press release, it costs money. Newswire is a tool for publishing information, just as is Wix, which is a service we use to develop and publish our company website, which we also pay for. We do not pay money to be placed on any lists, for any awards, or anything of the sort; that is, we never pay for any fake PR. If there is a 3rd party evaluation of the company, we promote it on our website, social media, and a public press release on Newswire, which is an industry-standard tool for publication and costs money.

In other words, if there is an award of a high-ranked listing of GP Transco, it is completely honest and never funded by the company. If we decide to promote this fact, we use many tools to do so, some of which are free (social media), and some cost money to publish (Newswire, Wix, etc.). We hope this helps clear things up :)

Hi. We do not fine company drivers for bad DOT inspections. We only give a bonus for good ones; the bonus amount depends on the inspection level.
