Two weeks ago I brought home a 2014 T680 with an ISX15 450/1650 and a 10 speed and 3.55 rear end The truck has 325,000 miles and is in pristine condition. I had my local dealership remove the speed limiter, progressive shift, and gear down settings shortly after I got it home but I'm still disappointed with top end power. I pull a hopper bottom and have been loading between 80k and 85k. When hauling to the elevator I'm really struggling to get over 60mph on flat roads. If I get a downhill stretch I can get to 65 but it really won't go much more than that. Am I expecting too much? There are no codes showing and the dealership confirmed the HP/Torque settings and they think it drives "the way it should" but have not had a load on it to know. My other truck is a C12 at 410/1450(?) and it pulls pretty much the same as my new ISX.

Something is set wrong or a issue is present that doesn’t show a code.. we pull 100 k with the same combo in Canada . It’s not a racehorse but gets the job done no problem
bzinger Thanks this. -
Hi. Golfnut, I'm a tune dealer for Pittsburgh Power, I also have that set up in a 15 T680. We can drop a 650 Power tune in that and get you about 550 to the ground. Look on Pittsburgh Powers website, Thy have a list of there dealers around the country. Thy are not cheap, that tune costs $1450 but you will be amazed how that truck runs.

The ones the company had were 3.36 ratio.

I sure hope that is the case! I've had several people tell me I should be able to run this thing 75mph down the interstate if I want too! Right now I'd be dangerously slow!magoo68 Thanks this.
