    Hi

My name is Craig, im from New Zealand and heading back to CA towards the end of the year, which is where my wife is from. In the process of winding up my business interests here and selling the house...phew...be glad when it's done.

If it makes anyone feel any better by the way, the economy is in the crapper here too; not the best time to be moving countries (again) but has to be done.

Thinking about a change of careers, and am seriously looking at this industry as an option. Seems like this board is a good place to start.

    Welcome Kiwi.

A word to the wise. The industry is glutted with newbie drivers (just out of school) and it is becoming very hard to get a decent job as a trucker right now.

    Hi Rich and thanks...

Yeah, i've picked up on that from reading here. However I am patient and eventually (before I retire hopefully) the economy will come right and things should start to improve. The reason im moving back is because my wife has been diagnosed with cancer, treatable and long term prognosis is good. So while she is going through treatment and recovery I will be looking after her...that's a six month process...then I will decide what to do and where to go :biggrin_25525:
