Is there a threshold ofrom bad load to good load? If a guy profits on 1.50 load should he not take that load knowing he may not get another one that day?

Run that baby, pulled out with 737,000 today on my 2000 7.3 don’t second guess yourself. Control what you can and learn every day. Only thing that’s going to be consistent is non paying loads coming out of Florida. Most everyone finds their best paying loads coming out of their area, Just work harder at first until you find good paying freight outbound.

Take it, you are right you might not get another one. Now if it carries you to a slow area then maybe not.

Yeah... although maybe I'm second guessing myself now.. I ran my truck maybe a bit too hard, this trip because I took the loads I could get as a new MC. Anyway, I ran from Michigan down to FL with 2 stops that delivered Sat and I left Thurs late afternoon.. Ran though that storm in TN so being not enough time I had to run a bit hard, lot of 70mph..

Truck was running like a champ though.. I went over Mt Airy when I headed north then Eagle Mountain headed south. Dropped my 1st car in Tampa Sat, then had to run down to Ft Lauderdale area.. Was 100 miles from my second drop, decided to pull in to get fuel in Bontia Springs and as I got off I saw my temp gauge was starting to red line. I pulled in shut it down and was thinking maybe I needed to let it sit because maybe I was pushing it too hard in the FL heat.. but it was dumping water out the bottom.. 8(

I ended up having to pay a local wrecker company $600 to get the car delivered for me on Sat because it was a rush job and I didn't want to give excuses on my 1st load with a broker. I said it would get there, so I did.. Had to spend all day yesterday borrowing a truck to come down pick up my trailer and I towed my truck back home on my own trailer....

I know that's the risk of running older stuff, #### is gonna happen... but man I had gained so much confidence in the truck on this trip just to have it all get shot down 100 miles from my last drop before I went home..

I haven't even looked at it, but something is leaking from the top of the engine area down the valley I think, because soon as you put water in it, all of it starts pouring down the rear of the motor around the transmission and so forth.. The engine didn't get hurt still runs fine so I got lucky I was stopping for fuel, but I think maybe it's something with the EGR delete.

Very crappy.. I knew I'd of course have problems, with a older truck but pretty disheartening to have something put the truck out and cost me money on the load as well... It is what it is, but man I'm now at a toss up already over my older truck.. 8(

I almost went with Coastal until another came up $200 cheaper.
Are you factoring or broker quick pay?

It may be oil in the engine cradle dripping down. Sometimes hard to find out what’s wrong.

Right now I've been doing quick pay from the brokers. I'm going to end up factoring though I just wanted to go out get some run time to see how everything goes, because not much info out there with dealing with brokers and so forth.. so you sort of have to fake it til you make it with them and try to figure out what you need to send them and so forth.. when 1st signing up. was a lot of learning.

Na it's water for sure. It dumped all my coolant so I was putting water in it to move it and get it parked, but fast as I could get water in, it was pouring out.. 8(

Engine oil is fine it's no damage to the engine or anything unless I cracked the block in some odd place... but I have to take stuff apart to get down to the pipe I think it is. or worst case maybe I blew a freeze plug behind the trans but I think it's water from up top because the valley seems wet at least what I can see of it and it pours out both side of the trans so I think it has to be from up top.

It just sucks though because man the truck was running so good. It did way better than I actually expected it to do.

See my advantage is I had this truck since it was new. I can not work on it but I place PM on the top of the list.
