Give it a few years. They are still working on the Greyhound that drags a reefer around.

 

Of course freight is down this year compared to last year. Last year was a record year. Now it is just back to normal. Yes it is worse than last year but compared to 2017 it is about the same.

 

Freight isnt down. Truck capacity is way up and too many people out there running cheap freight just to cover their expenses "until things get better"...which means they fruly have no idea how the trucking industry operates.

 

That would be a crime against turning radiuses

 

This reminds me of a saying in hot rodding and building performance cars - "You can have two of the following three: cheap, fast or reliable. You can't have all three so pick the two you can live w/ most readily.

 

The industry is being overrun with foreigners who will work for nothing that isn’t helping rates either. Don’t even get me started on the megas.
