Long story short I have a 94 w900 with a ddec 2 and it’s getting tired. I would like to go to a little more power and ddec3/4. I’ve got a ddec 3 laying on the ground. Not sure what it’s issue is as I haven’t torn it apart. Maybe it’s not usable. But I will try and get a good block ddec3 or 4. Wondering what might be needed on the truck side if I have a good rebuilt ddex3/4 motor with wiring and ecm. Can I just find out which pins need to go where in the new ecm? And I’ve also read something will need to be done about cruise and jakes but can’t find what.

I am also wanting more power. Would like to get 550 ish power t the ground. I have a rebuilt ddec3 in another 94 w9 that put down 430 to the ground on break in dunk with 171702 turbo, 5292 I think cam and I believe 5915 injectors or it might be 5575 not 100% sure. But the cam, injectors and turbo aren’t stock but tuning is.

So I am looking for a good solid recipe for some good power to keep me beside my dads isx and some accerts that are running around. Thanks

I've got a factory reman ddec4 14L non egr engine for sale soon. I've got fresh dyno sheet with blowby numbers, runs fantastic with great fuel mileage . 648rwhp. It has 190,000 miles on it. Currently in my 2016 glider. Brand new from fan hub to clutch.

As far as wiring goes, just phone malk industries and get a adapter harness. Should be plug@play.

    Yeah, that too. Lol
My Detroit is a 2000 year engine. Missed the ELD cut off date by 4 months. Got a fresh 5EK going in.

But honestly this Detroit has been great. No issues at all.

From what I have seen and dealt with the 12.7L and 14L Detroit's were dependable motors. Take one in a heartbeat vs an ISX!

Been an excellent engine so far.!
I think I'm going to miss the fuel economy of the detroit after I put this CAT in thou.

The detroit is a 2000 year engine.
I refuse to put a ELD in my trucks.
Pure business decision and I have a 97 year E model CAT ready to go in.
