Here are states from Illinois/Indiana You will NOT get freight to.....

Michigan,Missouri,Kentucky/Tennessee, North/South Carolina, Virginia,Alabama,Georgia,Mississippi
Pennsylvania,Maryland,New Jersey,East Texas,Louisiana,East Oklahoma,Arkansas,Ohio,southern Wisconsin and New York state.

Now,Your asking "WHY NOT!!!" I NEED THOSE LANES, Throwing a temper tantrum ( Yes,Ive heard and seen it).....

Why Not is because thats where everyone else is/has been going and times are tough now....

I Might get you to Des moines or Omaha- but its rare- You wanna go to Cheyenne or Denver? I can do that

You want a Boise/Portland/Tacoma or North Cali? Depends on my people- But I can get you there If I need you.

So- Its either crappy load boards or me outta Chicago- Pik your poison- and you Flatbeds better just be happy with cheap Rebar or that occasional Coil going to minneapolis

Absolutely NOT, Those go to largecarlarry and Pete with the pogostick peterbilt., or your prototypical Mega or semi mega carrier.

To answer the OP question, deposit 10k into my bank account. It takes MUCH time to figure this out and it never stops changing. Therefore I’ll need another 10k next quarter. lol

In serious though I used to advertise like crazy for drivers and get maybe 2 to 3 serious calls per month if I’m lucky. Now I’m getting around 5 per week. Owner ops I’d get maybe 1 call per month, now getting 4 or 5 and not even advertising for it.

That’s just the way it goes, when freight is hot it’s impossible to keep your trucks full. And quite the opposite when it’s hard to turn a profit or companies going broke everywhere.

 

And yet we are still running hot, and it appears it will stay that way at least until 20/20.
Appearances have been known to change over night too though. lol
