Relax man. You gotta get out of your feelings. One accident isn't the end of the world. There are companies that will bring you in. If you say exactly where you are in Texas, then @Chinatown can point you in a direction. He has the answers. In the meantime, just apply to any company and every company you see that's hiring. It only takes one yes.

 

Swift was useful in getting you seat time so you can move up the ladder.
Pull your DAC, look for yourself how it is reported. Don't go by what some turd behind a desk tells you as pure truth.

 

Just because they got plenty of years out there doesn't mean jack these days. Its all about respect.

If you have family and don't mind being physically active, look into local work. That can include dry bulk, LTL jobs like P&D or Linehaul, dump truck, roll-offs, US Mail, etc. Dump and construction are unlikely to care about a DAC.

If you have tanker and hazmat, 1 year is often enough to haul fuel, see if Coastal or one of the entry companies is hiring near you.

Take it from some of us,Swift isn’t the end of the world. If they’re that petty to fire over something that wasn’t your fault then that’s on them.
There are MANY horror stories about that company here and elsewhere(actually too many to count) on how they’ve treated their drivers.
That being said,one door closes another one with opportunity will open in its place.

 

I read a quote somewhere that said each job pays two ways, money now, and in experience for your next and better job.
