We have a spare isuzu npr cabover parts truck thats gonna probably be chopped up to build my sawmill when the boy gets a little older. Engine will stay under the driver and give climate controls. Toss dash and put hyd pilot joysticks. Windshield aimed at the carriage.

Sounds like you've already got a lot of the parts used for yourself if you keep it. If you can't flip it and make a huge profit with doing a little bit of work, you would do much better to just take the parts that you need unless you actually need a truck like that to run in your operation.

Parting trucks can be difficult because you sell off the parts that sell quickly and then the stuff that doesn't sell quickly you have to sit and look at it until you sell it or junk it.

Never buy a truck to part out that you may possibly end up liking.

The answer is to only buy Peterbilts to part out. Then you can fire up the torch and smile with pride and happiness as you chop it to Pieces thrilled there's one less of those... things you flush down the toilet... going down the road :)

It would not bother me to have a dozen petes available to cut up, just a used crossmember brings a couple of hundred bucks. lol
there was a 370 at the same auction, no engine tranny or rears, it brought 1600, a nice looking freightliner that also had the engine tranny and rears missing didn't even get a bid. lol

Well just got the phone call, I did wind up with a 2000 W9 too. I know this truck and they swapped a low mile C13 in even installed the regen exhaust, so I now have a C13 that needs a new owner. lol.

Nothing better than a stretched out cabover.

I will not go through the trouble of stretching it, but I agree with you.
I do have a use for most of the running gear, a 2 guys already sparring over the engine, and I know where there is a nicely speced 98 model 362 that is long wheel base from the factory, it has a 12.7 in it and I am betting can be bought right, the cab is in bad shape. hmmm.

Not hardly, but depending on how it shakes out with my insurance company, I now have all the parts to put mine back together, or if I wind up with a salvage title, it will now turn into a 2000 with a 99 build date, pre e-log truck. lol
