In my opinion, (FWIW) you just need to find a better, perhaps smaller company where reasonable people make reasonable decisions. If it’s true that’s your only incident you should be employable.
There’s life beyond Swift, and all this will soon be just a memory. Decide where you want to go and start making calls to recruiters. Don’t act wounded, sell your strong points, the stuff you did right.

Does Knight/Swift use DAC? Swift used to only use DriverFacts.

Not taking sides here, but you keep saying you entered the intersection on a green light. Then you say the police report says you entered the intersection after the light turned yellow.
Which is it driver?
Giving you the benefit of doubt as I wasn't there; that was a stale green light (it was green when you got there and you had no idea how long it had been green) and you should have approached with caution and ready to stop for the light change.
If it was yellow as you approached then you had no business trying to beat the light. Going just by the police report shows that it you tried to beat the light, which is why Swift fired you and is a preventable in their eyes.
The only thing that saved you from it being your fault was that the lights hadn't fully cycled when you got hit.FlaSwampRat, Tx Countryboy, 88 Alpha and 4 others Thank this. -
exactly what i was "driving at", cuz i find it hard to believe that Swift fired him..unjustly.
and IF Swift has the on-board cameras, i am sure that the event was captured.
what the cops came to a conclusion of, and the evidence at the scene, can be and will be disputed by the video from that camera.
in fact, if Swift really wanted to, they can contact the city/town where that happened, for any street videos that might be available.FlaSwampRat, MachoCyclone and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
No respect now days the new breed of drivers know it all !!!!!FlaSwampRat and buddyd157 Thank this.

Yeah and ive seen some of the old breed pull some new breed crap here lately too. Guess if you get crapped on enough you start crapping on other people as well. Very few care anymore.MachoCyclone Thanks this.

I can tell you from my experience with the law.
Fighting a battle over being termination is tough to win and expensive, forget about that one.
Challenge the DATDDATDanandanand if it isn't removed your edivance of the police report is a possibility of a lible case. You'll have better luck with that70’Nova Thanks this. -
Learn better driving habits, what your describing is a stale green light, you should have already been slowing, on a stale green not speeding up or maintaining. If you had been driving with a hazmat or a tanker the out come could have been entirelyworse than it is now. You were not ticketed because you had no violated the law, that does not mean there was not a better approach to the intersection. Always be willing to learn.
Yesterday I knocked the mirror off one of our trucks backing into a difficult situation, My fault yes entirely, learn from it , yup you bet. We all make decisions everyday, when they could have been better, we try to learn from them and move on.
The good, one one went ar a ambulance ride. one one died. I presume one of the trucks were towed, if so then it becomes a DOT reportable accident which goes on your record, does not list fault just that it was reportable.
Good Luck...BigDog Trucker, 70’Nova, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this.
