88% of a crap rate is still crap pay no matter how you try to justify it. It's bad out there . You are better off as a company driver for now.

 

Banks have made a killing for generations on our impatience.

You need a car now, here's your finance officer. You need a house now, here's your mortgage officer.

And then slowly but surely, much like what happened with tuition costs, the fact that you had a bank to back you inflated the prices artificially. You didn't have to save up $250,000. The bank would do that, and then own you for the next 30 years. A small price to pay for a slave.

car loans generally get paid off. But how many people do you know who pay off their mortgages? The chances of paying off your mortgage are about the same as the chance of you ever saving up enough money to buy a house with cash. Gonna take a while, and a lot of will power. And luck. Good health. Good economy.

But nobody ever talks about that. Nobody ever talks about how you work for the bank, not for yourself. It's the only job you will never get a paycheck from.

And believe me, I'm speaking as a person with a mortgage. I'm paying down whatever I can extra, but I got roped in just like everyone else.

So the guy who told you to wait two or three years and just buy a truck? That's the right advice. The question is can you swing that? I dunno. But I also don't know why you think you can come up with $1,000 a month to pay a bank, but can't do that to buy a truck yourself.

 

I watched our tiny college campus that has been there since the last affair against the Union etc buy up oh... 20 city blocks of single family homes. Razed all of them. Built multi story temples of learning and dorms etc. Excessive.

ALL on the backs of that student loan money.

I wonder if it has nauseated the board causing them to choke on it today.

 

You can say that about anything whose price has inflated due to banks footing the bill.

Debt isn't always a bad thing. I bought a house when I was young and got a loan because I didn't have the cash. I paid interest on that loan that otherwise would have been spent on rent. When the house was paid off it was worth 3 times more than what I paid for it. This is called levredge, when you use the banks money to make money for yourself. That is like getting a paycheck from the bank. People make billions of dollars doing this. Buy 10 houses or a big building and collect rent to pay the loan. When the loan is paid off you own it all. Free money!!

 

Yeah and when Pablo falls asleep in bed with a lit cigarette, burns the apartment down, you better be sure the you're well insured. I've seen it happen, and the owner didn't have enough insurance. He ended up losing everything he owned.

 

There's risk in everything ... Better to stay in bed.

 

I understand your leasing your truck, NOT going a lease purchase. Hope it works for you, in my personal experience. Everytime I have dealt with a company out of Illinois. I got screwed over in the end. And that was wiith my own truck. Cant imagine the damage of I had a payment or was lease purchase.
