I watched a few videos on youtube about it Basically the guy took the filter out and took it to the car wash. Pressure washed it and and let it dry over the weekend.

I did. At car wash. Seems to be working.

I would think pressure washing would turn that ash load to cement may seem clean but the filter capacity may be greatly reduced causing excessive regen

I know for fact that one of the nation's largest rental/leasing companies shops pressure washes theirs and have no issues. The last independent truck engine builder told this particular shop that pressure washing is very effective way to clean them, but can't endorse it because not properly collecting the waste.

LOL we use to wash the DOC at the dealer. I guess it works and i don't see it harming the DPF.
