I want to share my Schneider pay for the 6 months I was there as a company driver for the tanker division. This month marks one year since I went solo in my own truck at Schneider. I was at Schneider until May of 2019. I started my orientation and training in Oct of 2018. When I signed up they had a $8000 sign up bonus which they distributed over a year. I received half of that since I left at 6 month mark. When you look at the checks, those weeks with 2k+ checks are when those bonus payouts kicked in. I worked OTR and stayed out weeks at a time. There was one stretch earlier this year where I stayed out two months straight. Even with staying out and bonus averaged in, I wasn't making much there. Schneider pay REALLY SUCKS! I was grossing about $1100 a week with the signup bonus averaged in. I hope this helps out someone weighing their options. I would not recommend Schneider if you care about pay.

Thats Ridiculous- You'd make that at Burger King with overtime every week.
Schneider- Legally ruining peoples lives since 1981 (Dereg)Maverick Griff and rachi Thank this. -
Not in my experience. A lot of the people that were in my orientation were gone within 3 months. The regional guys were grossing like $700 a week.
Ya my buddy who was IC was telling me to switch to dry van but I wanted to get my experience in tanker.
Sad!Maverick Griff and Tanker805 Thank this. -
I must throw in for anybody that may see this in need of more experience or completing the year out of Gary can’t say for other areas but try to get on the ecolab dedicated account. Constant freight/ 95%of trailers are 3 compartments. A lot of which all go to the same place and you get paid per compartment. Most customers allow you to rinse hoses out and they clean the trailers at ecolab so you don’t have to even deal with the slow tank washes , all preloads. Also it’s a small team of 4 running the account. The cons are it’s all hazmat and you must pickle suit up for every delivery. Also account maxes out at 49.5 cpm.
Being on the account was the only time I made consistent money every week.Blagoje and Maverick Griff Thank this. -
All hazmat, chem suit on and off load three compartments. Sounds like a lot of fun. They should be paying good money for thisMaverick Griff Thanks this.

well they don’t pay extra per se but you make up for in that you get paid for each compartment so in the time it take to unload one giant tank you can do two or three. And it’s all preloads so soon as you get back you can be on the way out with another... it’s like the other end of the spectrum as far sitting around and waiting for preassignmentsMaverick Griff Thanks this.

Once again I am shocked and appalled.
