Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
Best I can do.
I have a thread on driver first aid though for smashed and infected fingers and such if you know how to use the search feature.Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
There are good companies to lease on too. The company I’m with pays $1.30 loaded and $1.00 empty. Might not seem like a lot but my fixed cost run $967.60 & variable(fuel) between $900-$1300 a week. They also pay $144 every time loaded or unloaded as well as $80 if before 8am or after 5pm. An I have had steady 2900-3400 miles every week for last 7 months. Lots of long hauls as well. Oh and best of all 95% of loads under 10,000lbs
Upinsmoke, dillpickle and dwells40 Thank this. -
I wouldn't start my truck for 1.30 a mile. I didn't buy a truck just to make less than I could driving for a company.
Coffey, slow.rider, Upinsmoke and 2 others Thank this. -

Might not be the ideal! But with steady runs and with rates where they are right now. Taking home pre tax $3,000 a week is ok with me for dry-van.Upinsmoke Thanks this.

How much are your truck and trailer payments?
-
My truck payment is $1,700 a month, so breaks down to $425 a week. Use their trailers no cost. An insurance and omnitracs, etc. run my fixed cost to around $960 a week. Oh an for those who think i don’t know business! I have a business finance degree. I choose to drive a truck because the freedom and money. I love it.slow.rider, Upinsmoke and dwells40 Thank this.
