One upside is if you run that up there for a while you know you will have a job day 1 when you decide to move here doing the same thing.
-
I actually just got an email saying I wasn't selected for the position. No reason why.
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Its probably a case by case basis. Maybe someone else had more experience than you, maybe youll still hear back from them. I had nearly the same experience as you, otr for about 6 months and then about a year regional with 3-5 stops per day but i did unload the trailer with a pallet jack for that gig. I was offered a job with sysco and gordon foods. I accepted gordons offer and started about 3 weeks ago there. I think they are more so looking at your character and work ethic because food service is very demanding both physically and mentally and most otr drivers dont have the physical part..not saying thats you, but who knows what the circumstances are one their end. Either way youll land something else if not that. Theres certainly no shortage of trucking jobs out here.FlaSwampRat and DAX_ Thank this. -
Yes, I had over over 5 years driving experience doing almost the same the difference was i was making with an electric jack and dropping pallets no pallet break down or running it with a handtruck had to get used to that.
