Found particles of metal in Engine, should I open it or not.

Looks like a thrust bearing of some sort. Maybe from the turbo as I dont think there is anything else in the engine with that small of a shaft. But since it was stuck to the magnet that means its steal.

I have doubts that those parts came from the turbo. Those are some pretty big chunks to fit through a turbo center section and down the drain line. I've been wrong before though.

If you pulled an oil sample and found it to be relatively clean (no excessive wear particles etc) then maybe yes to possibly being the turbo.

Did you cut open the oil filter and check for metal flakes and debris?

Myself, I'd be leary of running it. At a minimum I'd want to drop the pan and pull the valve cover to check things over. Those are some bigger chunks its shedding.

 

The last 3 pictures are of a bolt thats been snapped off. It definitely came from inside the engine. The top ones where definitely against something that rotated. To small to be bottom end parts so I’d start by pulling valve covers and checking out the valve train.

have you developed a misfire or Jake performance issues recently?

 

The curved part looks like the center of a main bearing.
It's hard to tell because there's no reference how big it is.
