Anything with the word Lease in it is bad and you can find many articles on this forum to why... but I will tell you a quick summary of why. Whether it's a business Lease or a Truck LP I would stay away!!
1. LP is leasing truck for around 4 years and after 4 years then you buy the truck which at that time you have already put $120,000 into it so you do the math...
2. Any breakdowns in 4 years is all you unless otherwise stated...
3. You will never own it unless you have revenue already in your bank account to cover schneiders junk...
4. Last thing I will tell you... you may think it's a great deal cause of the warranty or what not, but remember you gotta run your balls off to pay for their high priced junk... port or not Lease is not good

I like the SFI program, but wouldn't do it if planning to do the port gig....not enough revenue and really no reason to lease (or own) a truck to do port work.

 

I have to beg to differ with you... I'm leasing a truck from SFI... Let me tell you I'm running maybe a 100000 miles a year And profiting very well... And I don't have A basic fleet truck I have a premium paccar truck.... The difference with their lease is also you do not have to Lease to Schneider carriers either..

 

Well not every guy is a sucker or a failure... There's that few % who do make it with Lease Purchase... congrats to you!

 

Believe me i know..i ran into many at sni...i even called one stupid for dh 430mi to pick a load for 1.44mi before dh when there was load right there going 30mi from his next load...d&h...so yes...many don't realize that this is a business and need to treat as such..but they don't

 

Will SFI do traditional financing?
