Log that ELD ON DUTY. Then RETAKE your 10 back in the berth.

Be severe. When company complains, you tell them LEAVE you alone or this continues when they bother you resting.

DOCUMENT names of company people bothering you during rest dates, times, what for when, where etc. All of it.

    Eventually that foolishness will stop.

With me, they cannot call a #### thing. What they usually do is send a driver to beat on my door. That is another 10 hours in the berth... =) We have had crossed swords over that.

    Mototom Thanks this.

Just a phone call? I let it go, but from then on my phone has always been on silent.
Also I park legal 99% of the time so someone knocking on my door isn’t going to get answered unless I see lights and hear sirens, even then there isn’t a guarantee I’m gonna answer.

It's real easy... if they want you to work, you go 'on duty'. When you're unable to make your appointment, reference the on duty time they required of you during your break. If they raise a stink, remind them of how important it is to do things legally. DOT isn't going to bother you at a truckstop even if you are working on the truck. They won't even check to see if you're logging it properly. It comes down to whether the company is going to scratch your back or give you a rogering in return.
