I thought it was funny that the OP came here to complain about getting called out for improper parking....one of the biggest complaints here being the make a spot crew.

 

How hard is it to understand that parking a big truck in a no parking area for even just a few minutes is a hindrance to all those other drivers that need to go about their business? This is the kind of me first BS that is becoming too prevalent and is pissing folks off for good reason.

 

Man is this ever a tough crowd. I'll bet we don't see the OP for a while

 

At least I give the OP credit for reading this forum and learning something. Most of the ###-hats who take their 30's in the fuel islands or park retarded, or thinking stopping on the side of the interstate to pull their junk is fine. At least he can read.

 

The problem is all these new drivers are fly by there seat and think there smart phones will tell them anything but the old ways still seem to be the best other than being able to zoom in on Google to see entrance and exit of places and fuel prices

 

I didn’t think I could be a bigger fan of Love’s. I was wrong!

 

I find it kind of ironic that the G is always all fired up regarding "highway safety", ELD's, quarterly drug testing, consortiums, med cards, neck sizes, on & on & on, yet not a peep about alleviating the ever increasing problem of no place to park....

Albeit, it doesn't excuse parking in a marked "no parking" zone, kinda up there with parking at the fuel island and wandering away for an hour or more, not cool.....

In my wanderings, I tend to write down places, some off the beaten track I know I could utilize in the future, Stayinback & X1 have the right idea, but that's what comes with years of experience.

Bottom line, comes down to planning, and that usually comes with experience, truck on...
