I don’t drive anymore, and don’t expect to ever again. Will my license be revoked, or be ineligible to be renewed if I don’t register?
Will non driving employers have to search the database because I have a class A?

It will be down graded if you dont keep your dot medical card up.......
They don’t want people sitting on cdl’s and not using them. That much I know.......Last edited: Dec 12, 2019

That wouldn’t be an issue.
I probably won’t ever drive again. But I operate heavy machinery, and for whatever reason, most companies will require you to have a CDL to do it.
So I’m keeping mine. -
I self certified my medical as "Excepeted Intrastate" and my cdl is safe. If I want to go back to work, which I am actually considering, I just need to get a new med card, self certify regular interstate, and I'm good to go.

My company had me sign up this week. The DOT already had this info in a database somewhere. Seems like a redundant program to me. I wonder how many new employees they will hire to administer it.??
-
What info did they already have?

I’m signed up as a carrier, but when I try to sign up as a driver it kicks me back to the motor carrier page. Did you sign up as both carrier and driver?
-
I figured the driver part out. How did you designate the c/tpa?Cat sdp Thanks this.
-
I’ve only signed up as carrier..... you have another year to sign up as driver (I think)
062 Thanks this. -
The driver part was easy once I stumbled around for a hour trying to figure out why it kept kicking me back to the motor carrier page.
Go to the dashboard, then just under the dashboard button is a link to enter your cdl info.
Still haven’t figured out how to designate the consortium. May have to call them Monday and see if they can help. Last time I tried to get a answer from FMCSA they sent a email saying they would get back to me that was two years ago and still no email.
