I wouldn't give up. If the terminal needs drivers in Jan they may very well hire you. SPCR has lots of money invested in training drivers. You might get hired before anything changes if it changes at all.
Also the process can be quite slow especially over holidays . Call regularly without being a nuisance.

I hear ya on ready to quit your job! lol Best of luck to you. Right now, the terminal I'm out of, seems to be getting extremely dry right now. I've been trying to stay out until the 23rd(I usually take xmas until the beginning of the new year off), but got in on weds. running a dedicated run, back home tomorrow, then just deliver on monday, and that's about it. I really, really need next week to be a good week, to finish off this year, but it's not looking good, at all!
I'm thinking, if anything, I'll probably run 1 dedicated run next week. 2 would be great, but they don't run weekends.

You can no longer rely on what you read in print. The proof will be confirmed by who is buying and who is selling.Lilj Thanks this.

Did you call the Tm? Nothing has been announced yet. So maybe you can get in before any/If any changes even take place. Heniff has trained drivers for tanker But just not students. -
And pretty sure when those Union contract expire they will not be renewed

I talked to our lady driver trainer in Pasadena this afternoon, and she had a student driver with her. Although he will be running out of our lake Charles la terminal, he was hired last week, so I think you will be okaywsyrob Thanks this.

Could you please tell me a company that pays more than Kenan?

So I did finally talk to the Pasadena TM on the phone last week and let him know that I had passed skills / road test as well as the tanker / hazmat & doubles / triples endorsements tests and also got my TWIC card. He seemed particularly interested that my license would actually show the tanker + hazmat "X" endorsement which it should since I took all the tests, got the background checks and paid all the fees. He said once I got my license card in the mail to call him back and he'd see about scheduling me to come in for an interview and possibly a road test.
So now I'm just waiting for my license to come in the mail and go out to the mail box everyday like some kid waiting for his "prize" to come in the mail! LOL!scythe08, Speed_Drums, Lilj and 5 others Thank this.
