I drive a 2019 Cascadia with a DD13. For the last 6 weeks, my truck has been in and out of the Freightliner dealership for check engine lights coming on and derating my engine by 10%. The code says it's the jake brake stage 2 low. It will come on no matter if I'm driving or parked and idling overnight. Nobody can figure out what's going on. The codes are 1073 4 & 521027 9. I'm thinking it's a short somewhere because while my truck is shut off, I can turn my sleeper done light on and immediately my factory installed bunk heater control panel lights up and then after 5 seconds, my sleeper light goes out by itself. Could the 2 be connected? I've looked everywhere for a short. Anybody having similar problems know where I can look?

Sounds like you have something grounding out.
Does your windshield leak by chance?
One of ours had water get into his fuse box and shorted out a SAM module. All his exterior lights would flash like he had the 4 ways on.. but it was every single light. -
That was my first thought but we've had a very dry summer. So, with no rain to leak into the SAM module, I'm stumped.

hat dealer says about this issue?

Not much. Each time they say they fixed it by replying the dozer value, or update computer software, etc. But every time I get it back, same codes pop up within 24 hours. They dumbfounded now.
