Yeah the file on the IRS website id a pdf. I'm gonna have to fill it out this way this year since Schneider is throwing a fit. I decided to run their plates (which I'm still pissy about) since it will save me about $600 a year, but in order for them (Schneider) to process my plateds they need this years (2009-2010) 2290. Now my plates come due August 31, same day as the 2290 is due...Ohio has just always had me bring in the previous years 2290 with no problems. But corprate doesn't see common sense like the goverment does...did I just say that???
2290

Just got back from a visit to the local IRS office. I was freaking cause its July 31st and I hadn't gotten it paid yet. After reading this I realize now I had another month to do this LOL.
Oh well, IRS office July 31, they close at 430pm I got there at 415pm straight up. Nothing like a good old "practice" chinese fire drill for me! AND ITS DONE!!! -
i always go right to the irs office and pay it

I do mine online. FIle it one day, get it back the next. I did mine early because I needed it for the new truck.
of course the IRS rejected it four times. Come to find out they had one letter in my town name spelled differently and it kept kicking it back under name recognition error. FInally just clicked the box for a new address and they took it.
actually the only reason I did it online this year is because I was up buying the truck and all I had was cash.... WHo knew the IRS office wouldn't take cash!! -
The IRS told me, and I quote, "We here at the IRS are not responsible for sending out the form 2290, it's your job to remember when its due". So if you didn't get it, they are gonna tell you this! But if your late and get hit with a late fee, just have them send you a bill for the late fee and write them a letter explaining how you never got the form in th mail. Alot of times they will wave the fee or atleast lower it.

Aint that the most insane thing you've ever heard? Won't take cash or a comcheck, but a personal check is JUST FINE.
I had that run around with the local office myself.
