FCC messaged me and said they don't currently have a SE division. Said I'd have to run all 48. Do you find yourself running the same lanes with any consistency or do they continue to surprise you with your preplans? And, not being a fan of snow and ice and traffic jams, I was wondering how much running you do into the NE. Do you ever wander into the SW? Thanks.

I guess the experiment they tried in SE is dying a slow death. When run a lot of the same lanes. Nebraska to the Carolinas, Nebraska to California, Nebraska to the NW I get down into Texas occasionally, up into Minnesota and Wisconsin. I’ve been here just shy of three years and only been to the NE twice.

I was in the southeast regional when I started over a year ago. They moved me to long haul division to get me more consistent miles. I didn't know the southeast regional was "dying a slow death." I kinda figured it was in its infancy and they were/ are working on getting more new clients. I have only been to the northeast once (Nebraska to Pennsylvania) in my time here. Wouldn't bother me to do more northeast especially from the plains/midwest. The hardest is to do up the I 95 corridor north of Richmond to DC/Philly/ NY/Boston, but I did a lot of that with Cargo Transporters and Perdue but it didn't kill me. Still I don't miss the GWB and southern Connecticut traffic.

I heard the SE regional fleet dying a slow death straight from the mouth of the operations manager. He said it just hasn’t been productive enough for the drivers, I think he said there are only 6 or 7 drivers running that area now, and they can’t keep them busy enough.

I’m at the 3800 neighborhood, and i’ve sat a couple times killing some hours. I hope winter stays away so Fremont can dry out, and the miles keep goin!

I must be doing something wrong my last two time off request were approved and I still had to work. Suppose to be home now and was forced on this load of pallets to deliver in the morning here in Omaha. Oh well.

Something not right, I’ve never missed a requested time off. Who’s your dispatcher? If they dispatch on a load that’s not going to get you home on your requested days, speak up and question it.

Agreed. They are really good about taking care of your hometime requests. I put mine in as soon as I leave the house.

So, after dropping at Redlands, bounced 20 miles south to Moreno Valley CA and got a run to Mason City IA which delivers Sunday but am delivering tomorrow then down to Des Moines for a tire load going to Linsey NE, then to Fremont for maintenance and a faulty APU, then, I presume, a load home to Four Oaks or elsewhere in NC. Need 2 b home on Monday the 30th. Been a fabulous last few weeks 2900, 2700 and looking at around 3500 when I (hopefully) drop on Monday.
