When I got my truck new from the dealer, we were given 4 keys. When I took it to the office to have the identification stuff put on, I asked for 2 of them so I could hide one in the engine area.
Should a driver pay for leaving their keys inside the truck?

I always hide one in my left pants pocket.
The right side is for the main key.
Since I never go out of the truck without pants, I figure I am good. -
If I didn't have a spare and locked myself out I would pay for it on my own so nobody knew about it out of embarrassment. I'm not afraid to say it, I wouldn't want my boss to have to hit me with the "Really dude, I pay you to be a professional" because that's exactly what I would get and he would be 100% correct.

i keep a spare key in my pocket, ALWAYSFlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Nah. Companies should provide spare keys if they dont want to pay for locksmiths. Drivers get in and out of their trucks sometimes 20+ times a day especially local. It's only a matter of time before one of those times leads to a lockout.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
