You might try to stretch it out, by the time you get unloaded it will be close to 8 hours or better. When I hauled reefer I used to do it.
    Is this an industrial area?
    Ask the guard or receiver.

I wouldn't sweat it... What can you do? In that area within 30 miles there isnt really any options as far as truckstops go. Virginia DOT is known for writing truckers tickets parked on ramps... Ya gotta do what ya gotta do out here sometimes.

Call your dispatcher and see if he can increase you PC time if not tell him you gonna have an extended 10 break or plan 2 use there rest room when unloaded and come down with something that make you unable to leave the bathroom untill you get your hours back

If Opal doesn’t pan out there’s a Southern States a few more miles south down the road. 45 Cetane fuel too...

If headed into city. Walmart at Rte 28/Willard off of 66 has truck parking.

    Coffey Thanks this.

Why do you have to go to a truck stop? Any area with some out of the way spot to park would be fine.

    Woodys and Coffey Thank this.

3 or 4 times a year I deliver down in Miami area and not enough time on the clock to get home. It's about 190 miles to my farm where I park the truck. Oddly enough all the legal and safe parking spots along the route are taken so I have no choice but to keep driving till I get home.
