If that does not do it take the left going east towards Fredericksburg I-95 there should still be a independant off what I remember as exit 133. If not that you have choices of Doswell etc.
I checked google earth and there is or was a very old texaco with a couple of acres before the River crossing into Maryland north of Mansassas however I think they have went ahead and allowed nature to take over the pavement behind the place limiting severely where you can get a semi into there. And of course everything on the maryland side with the possible exception of Tuscarora at the bridge was developed over and excludes 18 wheelers today.

No such reg. The guidance on using personal conveyance does not specify a time or distance limit.
Only safe haven mentioned in the regs involve parking of trucks carrying Class 1.1. 1.2, or 1.3 explosives.spyder7723, tscottme, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -

Great advice until DOT is scouring your logs. Then what do you suggest?

The FMCSA/DOT don't define any time or mileage limit. You are allowed a reasonable time/distance to find safe parking. This can mean you have to travel in the wrong direction.
Mileage and distance limits, when they exist are usually from the trucking company.
I haul HazMat only. My company used to assume you could use the Personal Conveyance option and stay within 50 miles. If you needed more miles you could have more but they wanted you to inform them. For example, a few drivers park their truck at home and needed almost 60 miles. My company just updated the PC mileage allowance for those drivers. -
FMCSA uses "Safe Haven" for certain HazMat loads (explosives IIRC) that can only be left in govt approved locations when the driver isn't present. And they use"safe parking" for when you are forced to leave a location. Many people use the terms interchangeably.
