Yeah, it's lame.
I'm just glad the sub human filth did it before UPS showed up today, otherwise I'm sure they'd of helped themselves to packages as well.

Amcrest 960h is a nice system to cover the entire house for less than $300. Comes with a free app to see it from anywhere in the world and even if they steal the DVR system you still have video stored on the app. It’s money well spentdwells40, cke, Slowpoke KW and 12 others Thank this.

I've got an Amcrest system at the shop, it does a decent job. It would probably do better, but the cameras are 18-20 feet off the ground.cke, Slowpoke KW, singlescrewshaker and 9 others Thank this.

the truth is by the time the alarm company calls the police department, sometimes 15 mins or more have passed. Especially alarm calls which get low priority when it’s busy. So I like having the camera footage since they are unlikely to be caught.
My friends camera helped catch package thieves. He was in New Orleans and just clicked on the app and saw them in his porch. They stole hundreds of packages til his footage was aired on the news.dwells40, cke, Slowpoke KW and 11 others Thank this. -

It's the air conditioning compressor mount on my truck. I'd snap a picture but already in the house. I've never tried it on cast aluminum. Guess we'll see how it goes. I started cleaning on it tonight.
Aluminum I've always used a brass brush then wipe it down with acetone.cke, Slowpoke KW, singlescrewshaker and 7 others Thank this. -
I only caught a few burglars in the act or shortly thereafter. It’s usually just luck to be in the right place at the right time. A friend of mine called me on one particular group I was working two burglary reports on from that morning, told me what they were driving.
The second house I knew they had stolen several guns, and I stopped them on the highway for a moving violation.
I saw some items I had taken down in the report and knew it was them. I saw some rifles underneath the back seat passengers legs trying to hide them. I used the art of persuasion as I stuck my .40 Sig to the drivers temple and explained why it wouldn’t be a good idea for anyone to make sudden movements.
I’m sure the people passing by thought man, they take traffic law serious over here, LOL.Feedman, RedForeman, dwells40 and 19 others Thank this.
