Probably fiberglass. I tore a couple of sleeper roofs in the past gently testing certain bridges to see if it will fit. (Nope..) rip.
Bossman would yell whatthehellisthat? That? maybe a tree branch.
Are FL Cascadias cabs made out of steel or aluminum?

I thought about that too. Seems like a lot of newer trucks have been doing that lately. Ouch!

I worry about some of our Navy ships. They relatively thin skinned. However some assurance can be drawn when one considers the Damage Control skills as was present on the USS Enterprise Carrier after a Huffer Engine air starter got carried away and cooked off a rocket into another jet inside the hanger eventually detonating it's 500 pound bomb on the rack. In short order 18 more 500's blew during the fight. They lost a bunch of sailors and burned quite a few more. But all in all after repair and refit in Pearl its back to sea. This would be back during the 60's or 70's
I believe most of the structure was steel on that thing. Minus the aircraft which were total losses.
I dont mind truck engineers trying on lightweight if done right when I consider some of the coils Ive hauled. But I have been too accustomed to full steel tractor cabs and so forth from the old days where possible. You can expect with some care to get generations of service out of them. -
Don’t know why I didn't think of this earlier and really surprised nobody else did. You can check the cab real quick with a magnet.
If it sticks= steel
If it doesn’t= aluminum or fiber
Merry Chrismas Everyone!roshea, HoneyBadger67 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Cascadia cabs are steel. But, the top section of a condo is fiberglass.

Try to stick a magnet to it.
