Hey Mr. @D.Tibbitt ... I think you would like to know the neighborhood of Santa Teresa in the city of Rio.. it's an old neighborhood on top of a hill in Rio.. it still has an electric cable trolley car and most streets are narrow, up and down and very old buildings... it's a historical place... Some popular bars there get really full so much that crowds form outside drinking and playing music on the street..

Those stairs are one way to get up there...

    View of a bar inside..

    Lots of "gringos" go there...

This is one view of part of downtown Rio from somewhere in Santa Teresa.

    Old buildings...

    And lots of art too...

    That's a nice trip...

    There are some.

Baltimore hides a few mosaics here and there. I forget exactly off hand because I have not thought about them in a long time. Nothing as expansive and fancy as shown by Rocks, but there are buildings built in what we call the Art deco era (About 1925 on) which features some of that work. My own home had some tile work of that nature in the bathroom, easier to maintain. Stick a hose in there and wait until it dries.

Ive hauled tiles to washington DC with containers and I'll be ###### if I do that again. UGH. A mystery there. A 40 foot box unloading into a 25 foot long office shack...

They are all tourists from up north. They don't own any appropriate beach clothing because it's snowing where they came from.

Lucky you Rocks. They still have trolleys for transportation. No corporate greed had them removed.

    Todays wakeup music.

I just talked to a friend in sunny California. Well, maybe not so sunny. He is waiting for 58 to reopen so he can get out of Bakersfield. CA58, the Grapevine I 5, and Cajon I 15 all closed due to snow.

I can cite the old architecture in Boston... quite unique... feels like a trip to the past...
