Just wanted to say to you and Professor that for some reason I couldn't sleep last night and I read that s whole thread and it was awesome to hear communicating between truck drivers... I am new to the world only have my CDL since 2012...my wife is disgusted with the abuse companies conduct on drivers...I love the peacefulness of the open road...I wish all truck drivers peace and joy and safe travels...if I ever decided to come back in n the road with my clean record I would join you guys at Climate...

 

Well Happy New Year to you and yours and if you ever do decide to come out on the road I'm sure you could find a home here climate they are really nice people to work for

 

An here's something else to consider. If ya do ever decide to go back trailer trucking otr , there are a lotta companies where your wife could ride with you. That's if she don't need to be at home all the time. She could also get her cdl an you guys could team drive. Big bonus there being double your solo driving income and all of it goin to the same household. A few short years an bada bing bada boom you're debt free an banking the big benjamins for retirement.

How does detention pay work at Climate Express? Do they have detention pay? Thanks!

 

A lot of times when we go to houston they run us over to pick up at la porte. Place called excel. I think thats the name of it. If ya go there scale the load. It's some kinda plastics and its heavy. I've rolled outta there at 80400 gross before.

 

It's automatic on hershey deliverys. Pays after ya give up 2 hrs. All other deliveries i always send in a message on the Qualcomm with my in an out times. Put the times on the b.o.l. also. I'd say ya get it most of the time. Probably 80 to 90 percent of the time ya can get it but ya gotta ask for it.
