From prison to a big rig

Depends on the crime, but most of them probably can get hazmat/TWIC.

 

The mom and pop trucking company I used to work for hired ex-cons all the time. They were friendly, hard working and eager to get back into society. Only one of them didn't work out

 

Felonies shouldn't keep a trucker from trucking.

Only time I had my background checked was with a mega.

As for Haz and twic. More companies that could care less then those that do care.

Some of us will spend our whole career without a need for haz and twic.

I have it. Have yet to use it.

 

They'll go from a rack, desk, and toilet to a bunk, an air-seat, and no toilet.

The last place I drove for hired a guy who got out of prison for raping a 16 year old girl and let me tell you he turned out to be the most self entitled piece of garbage I've met.

 

So you're saying they actually go backwards in life then? LOL

 

most of the country treats us like felons anyway. May as well let the felons drive. Its a race to the bottom of the barrel. #### am I glad I got out of trucking some years ago.
