I keep an adapter for the typical rv or goosneck 7 pin to both a 4 wire and a 5 or 6 wire, but it is a totally different animal than a truck 7 pin and wired different to boot.

Or you could do like I do and just get another semi trailer plug and use the trailer cord. I stretch out the cord to the fifth wheel handle and zip tie it there then plug it in to the plug and have enough of the standard 7 wire wire to reach the back bumper of my pickup and I have a set 4 light tail light from one of those import cab over trucks. Since there brake lights and turn signals are seperate just wire the like it a standard trailer.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

Why do you want to go through the trailer pigtail for this? When I had my truck I was set up to tow a vehicle. My bobtails tail/brake/signal lights are set up just like a cars. One light in the back on each side for all of it. The brake lights are wired through the turns signals just like on a car and it is on a different circuit than the trailer lights. I had mine wired up the same way my pickup was wired up to pull a trailer and never had any trouble.

Exactly what I was talking about earlier in the post I have mine set up the same way!!

They also make a remote light bar you can use, no wires needed.

I have a tractor that I had a 2" receiver added to. I have the standard rv plug and a 4 pin plug on the plate that the receiver is on.
