Anybody know what Matheson drivers are making in the northeast? Got an interview coming up with them for local gas package driver. Just wondering what kind of number they might throw at me.
Matheson

Ask for 90K. They're getting 65-70 here in Ohio. Matheson is growing like crazy since our merger with Praxair.
If it's ASU plant ask for 95K. Be prepared to adhere to some crazy rules. I've been told no eating while driving among others. Never saw a young Matheson driver. Most are like us over here at Messer. Mid 50's and up.
It's not hard work. Learn your sequences and stick to them and you'll be fine.77fib77 and BigDog Trucker Thank this. -
Wow, really?! This is a local gig delivering within a 75 mile radius. I saw that they are very intense about safety, which I'm 100% onboard with. I had no idea they would be paying that much. This might be the most nervous job interview coming up that I've ever done lol.
I just looked up the facility I applied to. Its not an ASU. Looks like they do bulk deliveries and welding/medical/industrial/propane/etc gases.Last edited: Jan 8, 2020

That be the grunt work, get ready for lots of paperwork and rolling cylinders around. That's kind of a niche market that Matheson has though.BigDog Trucker Thanks this.

10-4. Hows the pay for the guys doing the cylinder work? Still decent?

Should be decent but I'd imagine less than the bulk cryo guys. That's why the other poster asked if it was a ASU plant.BigDog Trucker Thanks this.

They do some shady stuff.
Either you know what I'm talking about or you don't. Class action law suit coming. Won't be the first.
