I have three years at Climate. I'm still happy. Last year I took two weeks vacation and random times off and still ran 144k miles. The best dispatcher I've ever had is the one I work with here. I can't say there has never been issues but I've never had one that they didn't fix for me. If you have a brain and run, a driver will do well here. If you need a babysitter and can't keep appointments, you won't last.

Man, I dont see how drivers cant keep appointments. Climate gives soooooo much time to get loads off its ridiculous. A driver can run from Monte Vista to Moberly and get there to that Walmart and still have an entire day to spare

the Company is laid back, people are cool, dispatchers keep you rolling and send you home when requested. Sometimes I’ll get lucky and get a load through the house which they know I will stop even if I have time on my clock and doesn’t say nothing bout it. The shop does good work on the tractor and trailers. Every driver I have met is just chill. Job isn’t hard just being away from the family is the difficult part.

Wow, this thread grew while i was gone. My take, I did climate for about 3 weeks, in that time, they only averaged me 2200 miles, and ran me everyday and not giving a reset. So I averaged about 100 dollars a day. I can make that at home at walmart and at least be able to shower daily. Maybe it would be a decent company if the dispatchers actually got people miles, idk. Trucks were nice for autos. Be warned though, they want you to pay for everything, and dont pay for a lot.

I guess man. Everyone's experience is different. My miles have fluctuated between 2500-2700 miles on average. There are weeks where it was be 2200 or 2300. It's the nature of trucking no matter where you go. As for them wanting a driver to pay for everything, I've never had to pay for a thing. I dont know what you mean there.

They waNt you to pay for straps, any damage you may have to truck or trailer, I forget the whole list, it was in the handbook. I'm not saying it's a terrible place, but for 100 a day I can do anything.

How is everything going for you in the North Dakota oil field?
