    I dont think you will be placed OOS for not having printer ...i have been inspected many times - printer never been mentioned ... Microwave as well :)

    Ok... read my reply above.. ny state gave me oos for no printer.. seems you dont know thatvlaw like i didnt.. oos is for not being able to retain past 7 days if officers ask you to print your logs when you are manually inputting them when you have eld malfunction as i did..

    You never know if you don’t read current Green Book. I think some DOT officers don’t know every section or don’t enforce them all. Do you have a violation section # for not having a printer?

    It was a enforceable section i learned the hardway.. i was in shock but then i confirmed it was enforceable officer was in the right..

    Only when u are manually inputting it in your eld like i was on keeptruckin when you are having a eld malfunction that causes you to manually input it.. easy way around it paper logs instead of manually inputting it.. i didnt know either i found out the hard way

    He left out the fact that his ELD was malfunctioning at first.

    He didn’t’ switch to paper logging when that happened. Instead apparently his ELD has a manual mode that allows input when it isn’t hooked to the ECM and didn’t make paper copies.

    There is no OOS for lack of a printer.
    His OOS was for failure to produce his last 7 days of logs.
