It's much much higher then 6 cars.
There was also talk of the exhaust embedding in the grass.

Minus the grass. Motorcycles are in the same category.

On another note. Let's ban sawdust and dirt dust also. And pollen dust. etc. That can't be avoided.

My brother hauls wood chips up in Washington State, the company he works for has an electromagnetic brake system that they bought for all of their trucks. They haul 105,000 lbs so normal brakes wear kind of fast as well as brake fade problems in the mountains. He says you can be running down a 6% grade at 55 mph and stop like it was on level ground. These systems are very expensive; they transfer them to the new truck when they replace them. I could see California mandating these things even though it would add a small fortune to the cost of a truck.

I'd like to remind everyone when heading into the communist state, please, please, wrap your biodegradable garbage in at least 2 plastic bags.

Also save all plastic and styrofoam garbage for discard there.

There now starting to ban all gas powered lawn care equipment out here in cali. Everything will have to be battery or electric. But its ok for Illegals to drive old smoke belching cars.

Who paid for this study? L@@K between the lines.
The group that funds a study most often have an agenda.
As in the people that sell sun screen say the sun is bad for you. Because we did a study.
And people who are out in the sun get sunburned.
Now we sell a lot of useless stuff.

As a 43 year resident of California I can attest that there is a lot to complain about, BUT, as long as I can afford it I'll enjoy it. I just stay away from the crazies and never bring up politics with ANYBODY. In the mean time, I'll enjoy taking my boat out for salmon, crab and rock cod, never seeing snow near my house, and a summer temp that rarely gets above 80. I'll probably retire somewhere along the southern Oregon coast where the weather is somewhat similar to here, and it's a lot cheaper to live.

As far as brake dust is concerned, I doubt if they're looking to phase out regular brake pads. My guess is that it will all wind up as some kind of tax on new brake pads that will further line the pockets of the politicians. Ironic how they appear upset over asbestos from brake dust, but have absolutely no problem with human waste from tens of thousands of homeless people getting flushed into storm drains and polluting our rivers and the ocean.
