Climate Express

Should be up to the driver as to whether he or she is or isn't comfortable driving in whatever weather conditions come up or occur at any given time. The professional driver is the one on the scene behind the wheel. The companies that I've worked before climate have always trusted me the driver to make that call not someone sittin in an office riding a desk.

 

Yea that's what my buddy said about the trucks going east on I-64 in Illinois earlier today. We come south outta the Chicago area coming home to day an ran into the snow.

Yes but in defense of the company, why would they send him out at the time icing was occurring badly...that is nothing but recipe for disaster

 

I am starting my CDL training mid-Feb with a private trucking school through government grant. I have 2 felonies (s.o.) dating back to 2006, as well as spotty work history. Does this company have any operation near Dallas, TX? Think this company would give me a shot? CRST is willing to provide a pre-hire letter, but doing team driving doesn’t seem like it would be the best situation for me. If that’s the only opportunity I have, then that’s what I’ll take. But, having options would be preferable.
